Beautifully made handle with excellent grain orientation. Let it be known the tongue is large and may require a lot of wood shaping. Not a negative just be ready if your axe has a smaller eye.
Hoffman handles really are on another level. You just can’t beat the price, not only for a quality hickory handle with proper grain orientation, but also for the oil bath the walnut wedge. The only minor complaint I have is that the 3 handles I have purchased all seem to run a little thin for my liking; meaning I prefer a larger diameter handle.
