We offer our premium American made handles in a #1 and #2 grade.

Our #1 grade guarantees straight, parallel grain orientation on your handle. Our #2 grade guarantees against cracks, irregularly twisted grain, and flaws that compromise the integrity of the handle but with grain orientation running non-parallel. We recommend our #1 grade for the experienced craftsman or for an axe you must highly depend on. Our #2 grade is still a fantastic choice for a working axe, watch our testing video here to see for yourself!

Our handles are elegantly and ergonomically sculpted, ending in a generous palm swell. The handle comes with a “cone-end” below the palm swell. This feature presents multiple benefits to the handle, such as protection against damage to the palm swell when fitting. Once fitted you have the option of leaving it as-is, cutting it off to the curvature of the swell or rounding it over to add a classy, vintage style bulb end. Your handle will come with 1 walnut wedge.
