I bought this item as a trace tool for an axe that I was carving by hand. At that it did its job well, but the quality was a bit rough. Probably to be expected from a "practice handle". Also the listing made it seem like I was ordering three handles not just one. But thats mostly on me for being uninformed. Would buy from again, just not this item

Not bad for the starter. I am doing the ol fashioned thing. Oil once a day for 7 days, once a week for 4 weeks, once a month for one year, once a year thereafter!

The wood grain and finish are what I expected. I really thought I selected a precut kerf and wedge. I will double check for my next order!
The handle looks great but it didnt come with a wedge. Not a huge deal. The handle looks great with the vintage plumb I put on it.

Great consistency between wedges, really adds a nice contrast to a kerf.
At first I thought the handle was a little thin for my liking however it rolls very nice in the hand. Super strong and I feel almost no shock. I put this handle on my FE6 and love it.

The handle is Awesome! Haven't installed it yet, still working on reconditioning an old hatchet of my dad's. He got it when he was a teenager- he's 83 now. Got forgotten in a hunting bag , then the flood came. My brother and I found the bag ( what was left of it recently) and we thought we'd refurbish the hatchet for him.
Excellent quality billet! Will buy again.
