Huge fan of Hoffman Handles and a proud Wood Bullet owner. This handle was beautiful upon arrival. Unfortunately, after about an hour of splitting wood the sides under where the head was mounted were all torn up. Sadly I need a new one. I’ve split about 10 cords with the Wood Bullet and that handle barely has a scratch. Same technique. Not sure what happened here but still think the handles are great products.

This is a very handy puck sharpener. I used it for touch ups and in-between full on sharpenings with a file and oil stones.
Fantastic quality and compliments the Hoffman handle perfectly! So, don't order a handle without them.

I like it a lot. It has a nice feel in my hands. I just hung the axe . I have not had the chance to swing it. It will get some good use in the coming months and is a very nice compliment to my little collection. I am definitely in the market to try out a few more of your guys handles. Thank you so much

This is not an axe handle- this is a sculpture! Absolutely beautiful!
Yeah I mean you guys shouldn’t be charging to put your brand on handles….
1. Grain — runs straight and parallel all the way through the handle, especially through the eye/tenon
2. Runout — no grain lines that suddenly run out the side
3. Knots — none, including near the eye.
4. Cracks/checking — none, including around the kerf.
5. Tenon — the throat looks substantial and symmetrical
6. Shoulder — nice clean transition, does not look like there’s a lot of extra material
7. Wedge — confirmed, they actually sent both a small one and a large one. Thanks!
8. Finish — it’s truly dry/unfinished, as I requested.

I needed a handle for my True Temper Kelly perfect 4lb Jersey axe to make a nice splitting axe. This Purple Heart beauty fit the bill perfectly! I’m old school and prefer a slender handle and this one feels like a good axe should. Thanks for making quality products at a fair price right here in the USA!
