Great consistency between wedges, really adds a nice contrast to a kerf.
At first I thought the handle was a little thin for my liking however it rolls very nice in the hand. Super strong and I feel almost no shock. I put this handle on my FE6 and love it.

The handle is Awesome! Haven't installed it yet, still working on reconditioning an old hatchet of my dad's. He got it when he was a teenager- he's 83 now. Got forgotten in a hunting bag , then the flood came. My brother and I found the bag ( what was left of it recently) and we thought we'd refurbish the hatchet for him.

This is my first time trying the octagon cut and I am sold. It feels wonderful in the hand. The handle itself is what you’d expect from Hoffman. It shaved nicely when I fit it for an old Plumb head.

I was honestly really surprised at how nice these handles were considering they were the practice ones but I had a great time hanging an old axe head for the first time and learned a lot that was really hard to know without giving it a try myself
Ordered two grade three axe handles. Works of art, both were beautiful. I've already used one to hang an older axe head, now I need another axe head to put the other to good use. Will definitely be ordering more soon. Also glad to support a small biz owner keeping operations in the USA!
